Scott Davis was passionate about safety. Taking care of people was not just what he did — it was who he was. Whether ensuring friends and family had smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, gobags, and first aid kits, or advancing broader community initiatives such as AED programs and Vulnerable Persons Registries, Scott believed deeply in protecting others.
He believed that everyone deserved to feel safe — and that being organized and ready was the foundation of true preparedness, not fear.
While we lost Scott far too soon, his commitment to keeping people safe lives on through the Scott Davis Community Safety Fund — ensuring that his legacy of care, leadership, and preparedness continues to strengthen communities for generations to come.
Led by his wife, Kim Parker, the Scott Davis Community Safety Fund is a donor advised endowment held at the Oxford Community Foundation, with a national granting scope across Canada.
The Fund exists to advance community safety and preparedness by supporting initiatives related to:
- The purchase and installation of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) and other emergency and safety equipment
- Associated training and public education programs
- The development and delivery of initiatives that support vulnerable persons and enhance community resilience
Through this Fund, Scott’s commitment to practical preparedness — being organized, equipped, and ready — translates into tangible support for communities seeking to strengthen safety infrastructure and lifesaving capacity.
The Oxford Community Foundation oversees all granting processes, due diligence, compliance, investment management, and financial administration in accordance with its policies and charitable obligations.
The Fund will be stewarded with care by Scott’s family as well as a community advisory team, ensuring that each grant reflects the values he lived by — preparedness, compassion, and the unwavering belief that everyone deserves to feel safe.
